Categorical facets for integer values

When querying facets for e.g. the integer ContentLink.ID I would like the option to get a categorical facet i.e. 1 facet for every unique ID value, similar to how string facets work, rather than the current behavior of always returning range facets.

View Work Request Completion Date in List View Column
