Edit Watchers of Campaign Templates

We have found that editing certain functions of the Campaign Templates is extremely difficult. One such function that has not been updated with the ability to edit campaign templates is the Watchers of the Campaign and Activities. It seems that the watchers were added during the initial creation of the templates, but I cannot remove them unless I recreate and resave a new campaign as a template and delete the old one.
